Professional Background

Leslie is a senior Organization Development Consultant and Coach with expertise and experience developing strong, creative, self-aware leaders who inspire their teams to great performance and build highly successful organizations.

In a corporate career spanning twenty years, Leslie started the Organization Development function at Applied Materials, served as Director of Organization Development at Palm Inc. and at Charles Schwab, and was a Senior Manager in HP’s Strategic Change Services.  In these roles she worked with leaders and teams to develop and implement strategies that transformed the competitive landscape.  She designed and facilitated strategic planning, leadership development and collaborative organizational design processes in multiple industries.  She coached leaders at all levels, and facilitated planning, problem solving and team building sessions for hundreds of teams from the shop floor to the executive suite.

For the last sixteen years Leslie has served as an independent Consultant and Coach, working with leaders in Fortune 500 companies, as well as start-ups and non-profit organizations.  She helps leaders build learning organizations in which diversity is valued as a strategic asset, and team members collaborate and manage team dynamics effectively.  Her clients have included Stanford University, Blue Shield, San Francisco City Government, Cisco, NetApp, Chevron, eBay, McKesson, Odwalla, 5 Dynamics Inc., The Taproot Foundation and The Black Coalition on Aids.

Sample projects included:

  • Consulting on the organization design and start up of Schwab’s Electronic Brokerage Services, which grew from zero assets to bringing in 60% of Schwab’s total revenue in three years.
  • Consulting on Chevron’s acquisition and successful integration of Shell’s country-wide assets in Cameroon Africa.
  • Providing leadership assessment and coaching to multiple executives at the San Francisco Airport and in San Francisco City Government.
  • Developing and facilitating a Change Management strategy to support the successful implementation of a new Enterprise Resource Management System at NetApp.

Personal

Leslie lives in San Francisco in the upstairs flat of a duplex she shares with her daughter, son in law and new grandson. While she is still passionate about her work, she finds time to enjoy the many beauties and cultural events of the City with friends and family, and volunteer for community services.
